Terms
Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of veniamastering.studio and any services booked through it. By placing an order or submitting a form, you agree to these terms.
The service
Venia Mastering Studio provides audio mastering, mixing & mastering, stem mastering, and noise-reduction services delivered remotely. All work is performed by Michael Venia. Typical turnaround is 24–48 hours unless otherwise quoted at booking.
Files you submit
You are responsible for owning, licensing, or otherwise having the right to submit any audio files you upload. By submitting tracks for mastering, you confirm that you have the right to use, modify, and distribute that material. I do not screen submissions for copyright — the responsibility is yours.
Recommended file format: 24-bit WAV or AIFF, original sample rate, with appropriate headroom (no clipping). Specific file-prep guidance is on the FAQ page.
Payment and delivery
Payment is collected at booking via Stripe. Once payment clears, you'll receive a confirmation email with a secure link to upload your files to our own cloud storage. Final masters are delivered as 16-bit WAV plus MP3 by default, with 24-bit WAV available on request. Vinyl-ready masters use the Vinyl Master variant.
Revisions
Each order includes two free revision rounds. Additional revisions beyond that may incur a fee, agreed in advance. See the Refund Policy for refund handling.
Ownership and credit
You retain all ownership in your tracks and the resulting masters. I retain the right to mention your release in my portfolio or social media unless you ask me not to. Mastering credits (e.g., "Mastered by Michael Venia at Venia Mastering Studio") are appreciated but not required.
Acceptable use
I reserve the right to decline or refund any order at my discretion, including material that promotes hate, harassment, sexual exploitation, or other content I am not willing to work on.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, my total liability for any claim arising from a service order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. I am not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including lost revenue, lost streams, or release-schedule delays.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Any dispute will be brought in San Luis Obispo County, California unless otherwise required by law.
Changes
I may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new revision date.
