Prep your files before you send
A little prep up front means a faster turnaround and a cleaner master.
- WAV, AIFF, or FLAC if you can. Lossless keeps every detail — but if an MP3 is all you have, send it and I'll work with it.
- Export at your project's sample rate. Don't convert or downsample before sending.
- Leave headroom. Pull the mix down if needed — no clipping, no red meters.
- Bounce stems in sync. Export every stem from the same start point so they line up automatically on my end.
- Name them clearly. Label each file (vocals, drums, bass, etc.) so nothing gets mixed up.
